This session will be an overview of ECFE services and their potential to engage families. ECFE services can include: outreach, home visiting, building community partnerships, P-3 alignment, parent education, connections with elementary family supports, and strategies for supporting families during the transition to Kindergarten. ECFE programs are sometimes underutilized in districts. The resources within ECFE could be expanded to better support more families. Understanding the capacity of ECFE and how to leverage it can be a powerful vehicle for building community connections that create a greater sense of horizontal and vertical alignment in your system and positively impact your work.
