Participants will learn about what high quality early childhood education entails, including information regarding process versus structural quality. Information will be presented from a variety of sources to help participants understand: the history of early childhood programming, policy and spending; how access to programming is measured; the relationship between quality of programming and community characteristics; parent preference in care selection; and early childhood education affordability. This information will support a group discussion regarding what real work can be done to better foster equitable access to high quality early childhood education.
