In July 2024, many Early Learning Programs, previously housed at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), moved to the newly established, Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). Nikki Kovan, Director of Early Learning Services at DCYF will provide updates on the transition of these programs and share how Early Learning services and programs at DCYF will remain in partnership with MDE's new division of Early Education. Nikki will also provide implementation updates on 2023 legislation that impacted MN public PreK programs and end the session by addressing questions from attendees
